There is no limit on the number of times you may value load the AccountNow Gold Visa, but there is a limit of total number of value loads and total amount per day. There is also a maximum value load you may place on your card when aggregated with any other AccountNow cards you have authorized.

You can add money to the card through direct deposit of your paycheck or government benefits check. Setup a recurring direct deposit of at least $100 per months, and you can get a $15 bonus. Here are the details:

You must start Direct Deposit within 60 days of opening the account. You must make direct deposits for 2 consecutive months to qualify for the credit. Offer cannot be combined with any previous direct deposit offers and is available to first time direct deposit customers only. Credit will be posted to your AccountNow account after 65 days of first deposit if direct deposit is still active.

You can also add cash to the AccountNow Gold Visa at more than 135,000 locations nationwide.

Using the AccountNow Visa Gold

You may use your prepaid card to purchase or lease goods or services wherever Visa debit is honored as long as you do not exceed the value available on your card. AccountNow also allows you to use the Visa Gold card for partial payment, sometimes referred to as split transactions. For example, if you do not have enough money on your card, you can instruct the merchant to charge a part of the purchase to the card and pay the remaining amount with cash or another card.

You may also use the card to access cash at an Automated Teller Machine (ATM).

I have a question about my account now visa GOLD CARD . It says something abount a 10,000 dollar credit limit on my card . dose that mean that I have a 10,000 credit limit on my card to spend and if so is it anywhere. Explian Please! . Sincerely!! Angela Burns.

  2. I just upgraded my account now account to account gold does my direct deposit transfer?

    • Melissa, your direct deposit may very well transfer to the new card automatically, but I’d call AccountNow to confirm. The direct deposit uses a bank account number associated with your card that is different than then number on the card. So that bank account number could be the same, even if your card number changes. But again, it’s better that you confirm this with AccountNow.

  3. i have a question does these card chages you monthly fee eve if you have like 300 $ ?

    • Erick, yes, most prepaid cards will charge a monthly fee if you put $300 a month on the card. One of the least expensive cards is the Mango MasterCard. It charges no monthly fee if you add at least $500 to the card. Otherwise, the monthly fee is $5.

  4. How can I borrow emergency money with my bad credit, and while I am waiting on my job is sending out the paper work for my direct deposit.

    • Barbara, you ask a great question, and not one that can be easily answered. Part of it depends on just how bad your credit is and how much you make at your job. Of course, there are always payday loans, but they are very expensive. You can get a cash advance from a credit card, if you have one. These are expensive options, but sometimes they are necessary to get you to your next payday.

  5. tammy lennon says:

I would like to know if I can pay my utility bills by calling the utility company and giving them my card number? Also can I have my disability checks put on the card.

    • Tammy, you can pay utility bills with a prepaid card and have disability checks deposited directly on the card. I would call the utility company to set up the direct payment. As for disability checks, you’ll need your card’s account number and routing number. You can call your prepaid card company for this information.

  6. how would i kno what year my card ends if the year does’nt show up on my card, nad how do i kno my cvv number….

    • Haley, I’m surprised to hear that the expiration date and CVV numbers are not on your card. The expiration date should be on the front of the card and my be designated as “Valid Thru” rather than expiration date. The CVV numbers should be on the reverse side of the card to the far right of the space for your signature.

  7. Sheena Picarella says:

I found this card to be the biggest hassle ever i have the card bought the money gram and still cant load my card what a bummer!

  8. how much can you put on your card a day ….and how much can you spend a day

    • Vanessa, there is no minimum on the amount you can add to your account; however, there is a daily maximum you can add to your account. The maximum daily limit is $6,000 for Direct Deposit and $950 for cash loads. For cash loads there is also a monthly limit of $9,500. There is no limit to the amount you can spend as long as you have enough funds in the account to cover the purchase.
