The MiCash Prepaid MasterCard® can be used anywhere that accepts debit MasterCard.  Keeping up with the balance on the card is also easy with online access, calling or texting.  Something that’s often quite nice about prepaid cards is that they are much safer to carry around than cash.  This is especially true with the MiCash card given that the money you load onto the card is FDIC insured and protected by the MasterCard Zero Liability Protection plan. 

Special Perks of the MiCash Card

One perk is a card-to-card funds sharing plan available with the MiCash card, perfect for sharing your money with family members or loved ones.  Simply call customer service and ask for the offer.  It’s called the MiCash Maestro Companion Card and can be used at shops and ATMs where the Maestro brand is displayed.

Another perk is the iAdvance Line of Credit from MetaBank which is a short term loan that allows you to build your credit history.  iAdvance reports to the credit bureaus as you pay back the loan, so it gives you the opportunity to improve your credit score.  Of course, certain fees and eligibility requirements do apply.
