READYdebit Prepaid Visa Review
The READYdebit® Visa Prepaid Card gives you the convenience of a Visa card with 100% approval guaranteed. This card is not a line of credit which means you can’t go into debt using this card. Your available balance is determined by the amount of money you deposit on the account. Many people use the READYdebit Visa Prepaid Card as an alternative to a traditional checking account because there are no overdraft or negative balance fees. With online bill pay you can send paper checks online to anyone you’d like instead of using traditional checks. This card does not report to any credit bureaus so it will not help or hurt your credit rating.

READYdebit Select vs. Basic Plan
With this card you choose the plan that works best for you–either the Basic or the Select. The Basic Plan is $4.95 per month and the Select Plan is $8.95 per month. The Basic Plan has a lower monthly fee, but you pay .95 for “debit” purchases (those transactions you make when you enter in your PIN). You are not charged this fee for signature or credit transactions (those purchases where you don’t use your PIN). When you use the card for a debit transaction and use your PIN, then you are charged .95 per transaction.
With the Select Plan you pay a higher monthly fee, but there is no fee for using your card for “debit” or “credit” purchases. With the Select Plan, you can also have a Secondary Cardholder for a one time fee of $10. This is not available with the Basic Plan. With the Select Plan, when you have your paycheck direct deposited to your account, you can use the Online Bill Pay for FREE. Without Direct Deposit, this service is $4/month for each month you use it. See the fees below to see what each card charges.
100% Approval Guaranteed
The only requirement to obtain a READYdebit® Visa Prepaid Card is that they can validate the information you when you open your account. Even if you’ve been turned away or rejected by banks you can still get a READYdebit card. There is no credit or chexsystems checks to worry about. See their disclosure below for more details. Applying is easy and can be done online.
The USA PATRIOT Act is a Federal law that requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. You will be asked to provide your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. You may also be asked to provide documentation as proof of identification. “100% approval” and “No one is Turned Down” is contingent upon successfully passing this mandatory identification confirmation. Federal law requires us to have a physical address for every customer who opens a READYdebit® account. A P.O. Box is not acceptable. Please enter your street address.
Load Money
There are several ways to add money to the READYdebit card. The easiest way is to sign up for direct deposit. It’s free, easy, and saves you money—you’ll avoid check cashing fees. You can deposit your tax refund, SSI and other benefit payments to your READYdebit Card. Just keep in mind your balance cannot exceed $10,000 at any time and READYdebit can only accept tax refunds in the name of the cardholder. You can also add cash on your READYdebit card at tens of thousands of retail locations, including Wal-Mart, Rite Aid, CVS/pharmacy, Walgreens, Kroger, RadioShack, and many others.
With this card you can use PayPal transfers and ACH transfers. You should plan on 1-3 business days for READYdebit to receive and post the funds. The funds will come out of the transferring account immediately and then travel through the Federal Reserve. Once READYdebit receives the funds, they will post them to your account.

I would like to know when my Ready Debit card will be coming in the mail. Their website does not mention anything about it.
Lizzy, it typically takes 7 to 10 days to receive your card.
WHAT BANK CAN I USE MY CARD AT TO WITHDRAW MONEY FROM WITH MY READY DEBIT CARD
Ray, you should be able to use the READYdebit card at just about any ATM.
Does someone have to sign for my card when it comes in the mail, or will they just drop it in the mailbox ? I’m asking because I’m not usually here & I don’t want t o miss it !
Joselyn,
Thanks for the question. When I ordered my Green Dot MasterCard the card was sent standard USPS mail which means I did not have to sign for it. Unless you asked for your card to be sent express you probably won’t need to sign. For example, I had the option to choose an express delivery with my card and if I picked that option I would of had to sign for it. Your best bet would be to call the card customer service number and verify you don’t have to sign.
